If you have ever wondered whether time travel is possible, the city of Kyiv has an answer ready to provide you with. Of course, this is just hypothetically said, but the capital city of Ukraine can offer something like this. Kyoto Park represents a little piece of Japan and it’s natural side. It is a place that will make you feel like a fairy tale.

There is a park in Kyoto city, which is one of the sister cities of Kyiv and in this place, everyone can feel it as it carries an original piece of Japanese culture. Kyoto park is a unique addition to Kyiv which was established in 1972 as a symbol of Japanese-Ukrainian friendship. Some of its features include the stone of honourable sitting and the guardian stone.

It is a place where you can experience Japan through time, space and various Japanese traditions. The highlight of the park is a beautiful garden with flowering cherry trees which are distinguished by their bright pink shade. In Kyoto Park, numerous stone statues bear the name of the person who created them. In addition, in the garden, there are also stone seats of honour.

This park is located near a major highway, but it is slightly distant from it, so it doesn’t disturb the traffic noise. There are many trees and bushes around the park with the highlight being the Japanese sakura alley.

What to see in Kyoto Park

Something that characterizes this phenomenal natural area is the peaceful environment and its greenery. Wherever you turn around, some amazing flowers or mown grass awaits you. Here, tourists always stand in awe because of the surrounding colourful sightseeing. They leave such great impressions that many forget to take more pictures or video recordings.

Visitors usually expect to see Japanese cultural notes and designs that are one of a kind. Luckily, that’s the exact sight you will find in this place. With dozens of pieces of flowers at your disposal, choosing which one to give to your loving partner may be a real challenge. 

Kyoto Park reminds tourists of some historical, Japanese stories that have romantic connotations. Their literature is rich with such artworks which gives this area even bigger value. The best time to visit the park is probably spring. This is commonly a period when all the flowers get to their full potential. However, you can also come during the summer. The trees and other plants will not be ruined by bad weather conditions.
