Milk Bar

Not far from her sister bar, Dogs & Tails, this cafe bar is a great little place to enjoy a healthy lunch or spoil yourself to one of their delightful cakes.

Breakfast is served from 8am to 11:30am and has a range of items from avocado toast to more traditional things like poached eggs or porridge. There is a large coffee menu including espresso, latte and the more trendy flat whites.

If you fancy some lunch, there’s also a wide selection of dishes such as speciality burgers, hot dogs from Dogs & Tails, omelettes and other light bites. Their focus is on healthy food and is similar in both style and food to those cafes found in the trendy hipster Shoreditch neighbourhood in London.

The star of the show is of course the cake cabinet at the entrance. They have a very wide range of freshly baked cakes and desserts, with wacky names like Monkey King or Victoria’s Secret. Another highlight is their fresh milk shakes (the clue is in their tag line: Cakes, Shakes & More) made with fresh ice cream and natural flavours.

The cafe is only small in size with perhaps 12 tables inside, so be prepared to wait at just about any time. Usually it’ll only be a few minutes wait or you can buy cakes and desserts to take away.
