A war memorial park above the Dnipro with an eternal flame and a 27 metre obelisk. Free, and on the way to Pechersk Lavra.

Friendship Of Nations Arch

A 50 metre titanium arch above the Dnipro with the best viewpoint in central Kyiv. Free, always open, and now joined by the glass-floored pedestrian bridge.

Motherland Monument

A 102 metre stainless steel statue standing over the war museum, visible from most of the left bank. If you're fit enough you can climb up inside her arm to the shield.

World's Deepest Metro Station

At 105.5 metres down, Arsenalna is the deepest metro station in the world. It takes about four minutes on two escalators just to reach the platform.
